we make worlds

I’ve been meditating lately on just how awesome it is that I get it be a concept artist, out of all the things I could be in this life.

The phrase that kept popping into my head for why this job is so cool is, “we make worlds.”

We are in the business of inventing entire worlds, the creatures that inhabit them, and the stories that take place inside of them. The possibilities are endless; we are limitless. This job is *amazing*, and it gets better every day.

And just as the masters before us understood, we are just *beginning* to learn.

Only now do I feel I am finally standing at the *beginning* of my potential. Only now do I realize how high the mountain is. It’s exhilarating.
